OK, so back to the newsletter and….Holy Smokes! We really are in the midst of a transformation. The stepwise enhancement in digital intelligence is so remarkable, days feel like months. Incredible progress today is rapidly being built on top of incredible progress built yesterday.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL FOLKS. WE LIVE IN THE FUTURE.

So you thought talking to ChatGPT was magical? Wait until you get a look (literally) of @OpenAI's SORA. I see your 2023 AI magic and raise you early 2024 AI magic. Regular old text prompts into video is a thing folks.

How long until you just insta-generate a custom tv series based on your own imagination or preferences?

Computer, give me 10 episodes of a Sopranos-like show, but set in the near future and with a science fiction angle.

Not all powerful new AI launches go smoothly. Recently, Google Gemini image generation was unveiled, and suffice it to say, an obvious flaw was quickly unearthed.

Who knew that this AI was trained to think white people were personas non grata? I guess it goes to show that humans have quite a bit to do with the behavior of an AI. Who could have ever imagined such a thing? AIs are unironically amazingly good at revealing the assumptions and biases of the humans that train them, amazing. GIGO ladies and gentlemen, GIGO.

Is it just me or does the dd (Don't Die) movement led by @bryan_johnson seem to be picking up real steam? Sure seems like it is becoming as much about just taking better care of yourself using 2024 knowledge and technologies as much as it is about a still somewhat abstracted notion of not dying.

The news out of Nvidia is so continuously juggernaut-y, just a bit speechless at this point honestly. 😆 These are the chips that will power the future. Suffice it to say, the future looks bright AND fast!

As big as all the @nvidia  news it, it is hard to be a bigger story than telekinesis. Yes, you read that correctly. Controlling things with your mind is a thing now, folks. Really gives new meaning to the idea of wireless technologies!

@neuralink did an impromptu live stream with their first patient/customer, Nolan on @X this week. Nolan is a quadriplegic who can now play video games using his mind! You could tell how much it obviously empowered him, he even said he wanted to go as Professor X for Halloween. Talk about fact being stranger than fiction! Wild, wild stuff indeed!

And @neuralink is just getting started! 🤯

Grok recently became Open Source. You really just have to love the ethos of making code open source, reminds of that funny Mr. Bean meme. 😆

Speaking of Grok, it feels like it is getting smarter and really seems to have an edge with real time happenings, even proving useful for meme insights.

In meme news, the dynamo actress @sydney_sweeney continued her reign as the meme queen. 👑 Let's just say some things are, eh hmm, universal! 😊😛 

Certain technologies really hit mass adoption in a sudden pop and recently face swapping technology start popping up in memes everywhere. Perhaps the most common face appearing on about every popular meme template at this point, probably to a bit of his chagrin. 😄
