Who is Roaring Kitty?
Back in 2021 - Keith Gill a financial analyst and investor played a role in the GameStop short squeeze. He became well-known for his YouTube channel and Reddit posts under the username "Roaring Kitty” where he shared his analysis and bullish views on GameStop's stock. His posts and videos helped rally retail investors on platforms like Reddit's WallStreetBets, contributing to the dramatic increase in GameStop's stock price and the subsequent short squeeze that caused significant losses for several hedge funds.
On May 12th 2024 @theroaringkitty posted the image “leaning forward in chair” and later montages from different movies.Similar to what he did during the original GME short squeeze in 2021
Variations of this meme are popping up like below as the GME stock dropped several points a week after Roaring Kitty posted.

Top 4 Memes of May 2024
Finally let’s kick off May with some of the top memes we’ve seen across the web. Maybe you have seen these or some might be new. Either way - it’s fun to follow the trends.
1.King Charles’ Portrait
The choice of red as the dominant color has sparked mixed reactions. Some critics appreciate the boldness and modernity of the color scheme, seeing it as a departure from more traditional royal portraiture. Others, however, find it unsettling or overly dramatic, with some even describing it as "ghoulish" due to the intense and somewhat foreboding atmosphere created by the red hues.
Who you gonna call Charles?
2.The Portal
A futuristic portal has been installed in Dublin and New York, allowing citizens on both sides of the Atlantic to communicate in real-time.
Over the past few weeks on lookers have been adding their own additions of images on each side of the portal as shown below with the knuckles image. There has been much tomfoolery to be had on both sides all culminating in the two cities shutting it down when explicit images were shown.
3.You Wouldn't Last an Hour in The Asylum Where They Raised Me
A catchphrase based on lyrics from Taylor Swift's song "Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me" from her 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department. Launched in late April the meme has taken on May 2024. It offers a way for posters to share their struggles growing up.
